Today I did an easy 6 mile training run on my usual route. Paintsville Lake state park. Started at the parking lot, downhill to the lake, around the parking lot, through the RV campground, then to the primitive campground. Back up the hill to the hiking trail, around that twice. I went "backwards" on the trail, counterclockwise, and there's a hill there that I didn't anticipate. It caught my attention. Otherwise, my wheels felt good and the engine didn't complain too much. It was a perfect morning. This photo is the site where tents are set up. It shows nothing there, but today the campground was full, and I felt a bit of sadness since I had thought of this space as my personal domain. I saw a few camps that were disheveled, and I trust that they cleaned up as they should have.
In a few weeks I'll take the grandsons camping here. It's the most beautiful spot I've seen in a long time.
